Description... This is a
fabulous opportunity to explore and experience Bhutan, 'the Land
of the Thunder Dragon'. A mysterious place hidden from the
world's gaze for many years. A traditional Buddhist
country, the Bhutanese have been protected from the corruption
of so-called western culture by having only a limited number of
tourists allowed into the country each year.
Bhutan is incredibly unspoiled, having river canyons straight
out of a fairy tale, with the emerald green water contrasting
the shiny black walls and verdant jungle. Wildlife is phenomenal
as Buddhists are against killing God's creatures. Here can be
found some of the finest stretches of whitewater ever seen. We
highly recommend budgeting for a last day shopping spree, and
leave a good deal of space in your luggage for the trip home.
This is one place where reality exceeds all expectations and we
are sure it will be an outstanding trip. The group size will be
a minimum of ten, maximum of sixteen. This will be a pretty
active holiday so to enjoy it you should be reasonably fit.
Rafters do not need previous experience - just an adventurous
spirit and the desire to challenge truly spectacular rivers.
Once trained, the paddle crew can work in harmony with their
guide to maneuver a raft down the most difficult rapids.
Kayakers will find these to be incredible rivers for the
advanced paddlers or the intermediate who is happy challenging
steep powerful rivers. A safety kayaker will accompany you.
Additional Info...
We do recommend that kayakers bring their own personal gear, or
we can provide the equipments here too.
