TREKKING IN BHUTAN

Trekking in the Himalayas, is an altogether awesome experience that cannot be described by words. It is unlike any other experience. It is said that to fully appreciate nature it is essential to become part of its silence. Trekking gives the nature admirer such an opportunity, to feel the power and unparalleled beauty and sanctity of the majestic Himalayas.

Further we take care of our trekkers and make sure that their sojourn into the mountains is a memorable one. We provide a crew of specialized staff to assist you along the way. The crew will include at least one cook, one guide, a horsemen and horses, the number depending on the size of the trekking group. All the provisions and luggage are carried by the horses and porters.

However, if you are planning to go trekking in Bhutan you should be reasonably fit and bring along some basic trekking gear such as trekking shoes, water-proof clothes, ruck-sacks, etc.

The treks offered are graded according to their difficulty level. You can choose the trek of your choice from the list of trekking programme offered.

Difficulty levels of treks

Descriptions

JJJ Treks that fall in this category are considered to be the easiest. They are normally cultural treks that take you through villages, and involves walking within the tree line for an average of 5-6 hours a day. Not much training is required for this kind of treks. The ascent will not be more than 3000 mts. above the sea level. Moderate fitness is required.
JJ This category falls within the medium difficulty range. It consists of  a lot of ups and downs and it may take you above the tree line. The trek may involve 6-7 hours a day of walking and the elevation may go up to as much as 4000 mts. above sea level. You have to be a good walker to be able to enjoy this trek. A physical fitness check up is necessary.
J This is considered the most difficult and adventurous. For this kind of trek, one has to be very fit, experienced in walking and have high stamina as it could involve walking for as long as  7-9 hours a day. The elevation could range from 4000-5000 mts. Top physical form needed.
